Epiphany cake


This evening, Sam, Gioia and I made the Epiphany cake for tomorrow's dinner. Baking with children is always a process. Sometimes fun, sometimes not. Gioia has gotten really great at reading the ingredients, measuring the flour correctly, monitoring the mixer.  Sam is... well... very enthusiastic. Anything his sister does he must do too - with vigor.

We used this Lemon Yogurt Bundt Cake recipe, except with no limoncello. We were out, and our Peapod delivery was backed up due to the snow and cold. I hope it arrives tomorrow morning so it can go in the glaze.

I have no idea where the bean is in the cake. Baby Jesus will indeed be a surprise tomorrow.
