Flower girl dress

A wedding party is not complete without a flower girl. This dress was modified a tiny bit from the Pascale pattern from an old issue of Sew Beautiful magazine. It was made of an ivory silk taffeta with a black silk taffeta sash. Both fabrics came from Mood in NY. The petticoat was cut from an old wedding gown that I found at a street fair in my neighborhood. It was super easy to attach because the netting was already gathered (whew!) and already had a lining. Every flower girl needs a fluffy skirt, don't you think?

It is hard to see in these pictures, but the bodice is pleated to echo the pleats in the bride's dress bodice. This was one of my favorite dresses that I have made for Gioia.  And, looking back through my archives, apparently I have made quite a few....
